Peruvian Dish | Lemon Ceviche

- Fresh fish fillets: 500 grams (optional snapper, tuna, etc.)
- Fresh lemon juice: 1 cup
- Red onion: 1, shredded
- Green pepper: 1, seeded and diced
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Cilantro: 1 clove, chopped
- Chili pepper: 1, seeded and diced (adjust to taste)
- Salt: to taste
- Black pepper: moderate

**Preparation steps:**
1. Cut fillets into approximately 1-inch cubes.
2. In a large bowl, combine fillets, lemon juice, shredded onion, diced green pepper, garlic and cayenne pepper together. Add a good pinch of salt and black pepper and mix well.
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to allow the fish to fully marinate in the lemon juice.
