Treats for Winter | Oatmeal Chocolate Crunch

Today we introduce you to a healthy chocolate sandwich energy bar. Great for refueling and as a snack for pleasure. It takes only half an hour to make.

【Oatmeal base】
(add or subtract in equal proportions)
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cup oatmeal
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp melted butter/coconut oil
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 eggs
Sugar to taste

【Chocolate part】
You can use any chocolate sauce of your choice

【Oatmeal Crumble Topping】
1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup pumpkin seeds or any nuts

👉 Toss together and rub together as much as possible to form a gravelly texture and spread flat on top of the chocolate sauce, covering it completely.

🥣 Directions:
1. 👉 Toss together all the ingredients for the [oat base] and spread loosely on a flat baking sheet, pressing down gently to a thickness of about 1cm.
2. 🔥 Preheat oven to 176C (350F) and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove.
3. Spread the chocolate sauce thickly over the oat base. Then spread the [Oatmeal Crumble Top].
4. Return to the oven and continue baking for ~15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
5. Cool and refrigerate for half an hour, cut into pieces.
(You can add some crushed black cochineal and drizzle it with chocolate sauce while it's chilling for extra flavor!)
